Dr. Randall Perry is an artist-scientist, and screenwriter (he is a member of the Writers Guild of America West). Dr. Perry loves films and is a director and senior manager of Athene films, Vancouver Canada. He has written six novels, weaving together, adventure, romance and science. As an abstract painter he is a member of the Chelsea Arts Club, London England. He is the author of numerous publications on subjects ranging from science and linguistics to art and education. Before returning to finish a doctorate in Astrobiology at the University of Washington, he had twenty years of experience as a company director. After receiving a PhD in astrobiology, he received a National Science Foundation fellowship to the University of Oxford followed by a Royal Society fellowship as a senior research scientist to Imperial College London school of Science, Technology and Medicine. He is also the honorary trustee chair and founder of the Space Science Engineering Environmental Foundation (SSE²F), which runs industry simulations for students designing space settlements both in England (UKSDC), Europe (EUSDC), Africa (Africa SDC) and also at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The SSE²F also runs the Environmental Design Challenge (EDC) and junior space and environmental programs including Eco meet and the Galactic Challenge. He is the chairman and senior manager of Pro Ed et al. An education company that runs internships for students throughout the world. Besides being interested in creative and scientific projects, Dr. Perry is also an adventurer and explorer. He has crossed the Atlantic in a small sailboat; dived to the bottom of the ocean in the deep submersible, Alvin; he is an experienced mountain climber, desert trekker and holds fixed wing and helicopter pilot ratings.
